I spent the last weekend of my fall break in Santa Cruz, partying with high school friends (“they’re gold,” Jackson said) in a final fuck-you-law-school hurrah before returning to the second half of my first semester. While I was there I became aware of a full-fledged phenomenon, the Emerging Artistic Oeuvre of Ray Sumser.
you should check it out. he might be big one day.
And lest you think that my long personal history and friendship with Ray is coloring my judgment of his art, I promise I don’t actually really like him that much. (Just joshing!) But seriously, he’s legit. And I want to be able to go visit his awesome Santa Cruz house again, so you should buy his art so he can pay rent and continue to live there.
